Shugaba emerges new University of Maiduguri VC

Shugaba was before his appointment, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Admin).

In a chat with newsmen on Friday, Pro-chancellor and also Chairman of the Council, Professor Biodun Adesanya, claimed Professor Shugaba emerged after scoring 83.8 per cent, the highest possible of 14 prospects interviewed.

The Pro-Chancellor said Shugaba’s visit as the new VC was in conformity with Sub-Section 3 (c) of the universities (miscellaneous stipulations) (Amendment) Act 2012.

In a chat with newsmen on Friday, Pro-chancellor and Chairman of the Council, Professor Biodun Adesanya, said Professor Shugaba emerged after scoring 83.8 per cent, the highest of 14 candidates interviewed.

The Pro-Chancellor said Shugaba’s appointment as the new VC was in accordance with Sub-Section 3 (c) of the universities (miscellaneous provisions) (Amendment) Act 2012.
